Ignition Select a specialist motor insurance broker in Ipswich has entered administration placing at risk some 70 jobs. This folows the news that Call Connection, an insurance leads business based at the same address entered administration a few days ago with the loss of 134 jobs.
Both businesses are registered at Saxon House in Cromwell Square in Ipswich and it is understood that Ignition Select have previously been working with BTG Financial Consulting, the corporate restructuring arm of professional services firm Begbies Traynor, now appointed as liquidators
A spokesman for the company said ““Gary Shankland and Kirstie Provan of Begbies Traynor (London) LLP were appointed as joint administrators of Ignition Select, the Ipswich-based insurance broker, on July 18, 2017 by the directors of the company.”
Policyholders may be concerned that their cover remains in force and In the absence of advice from the administrator, policyholders who have cover arranged through the broker would be wise to contact their insurance company directly to check that all is in order.
